A reverse shot (or shot reverse shot) is a very common technique used in cinema today. It is used mostly between two characters speaking face to face, used to switch in between one another when one is speaking, or to show another one’s reaction. It meets with the characters eye line, and can also be considered an over-the-shoulder shot too.
